At Move with MB, a referral is not required as Physiotherapists are primary health professionals. A referral may be necessary for Enhanced Primary Care Plans (EPCs), GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (GPCCMP), Workcover/CTP claims. 

If you are unsure if a referral is required, feel free to contact us. 

Preparing for your first session shouldnt be stressful. At you first appointment, please ensure

• Patient Form has been filled out prior to your appointment. 

• If applicable, GP/ Specialist referral if received EPC/ GPCCMP

• Bring any of scans related to you injury or complaint  such as ultrasound, CTs or MRIs.

• Workers Compensation or CTP details, ensuring your Claim number and insurance details. 

Comfortable clothing that allows movement is recommended. For example, shorts for knee or leg issues or a loose shirt for shoulder or neck problems. This helps the physiotherapist properly assess your movement and perform treatment if needed. Towels and draping will be provided during your assessment and treatment, ensuring your comfort and privacy.

Medicare Australia may provide a rebate for up to five physiotherapy sessions per calendar year under the Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) / Chronic Disease Management plan for eligible patients with chronic conditions or pain lasting longer than six months.

To access this benefit, you will need a referral and care plan from your GP before your appointment.

Please note that the Medicare rebate does not cover the full cost of the consultation, and a gap fee will apply. This gap is the difference between the Medicare rebate and the clinic’s consultation fee.

The rebate you receive from your private health insurer will depend on your individual policy and level of cover. We recommend contacting your health fund directly if you would like specific information about your physiotherapy benefits.

At Move With MB, we aim to make the process simple and convenient. Our HICAPS terminal allows you to claim your private health insurance rebate on the spot, so you only need to pay the remaining gap at the time of your appointment.

At Move With MB, each appointment time is reserved specifically for you. When appointments are missed or cancelled at short notice, it can be difficult to offer that time to another patient who may be waiting for care.

For this reason, a $90 cancellation or non-attendance fee applies to appointments that are missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice.

If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, we kindly ask that you provide as much notice as possible. This allows us to offer the appointment time to another patient who may need treatment.
